Great post. There are some interesting ideas for finding investors for teenage entrepreneurs.
At Young Entrepreneurs of America (www.yeabiz.com) we work with many teenagers who are interested in starting their own businesses. We offer three key suggestions in starting a new venture at a young age.
1) Don't pick any business if you can't find a paying customer within the first week of work.
2) Don't pick any business if it requires more than $100 to get it started. Chances are, you won't get it anyway so why not put that money towards sales? After you have a summer or two of successful startups under your belt, it is much easier to find potential investors in your next idea...most of them will come from your former clients.
3) After those two caveats, pick any idea that works but make sure you stick with it. Virtually any idea that fits the first two suggestions will make you a fair amount of money over the summer. Just make sure you don't change your business idea every two weeks. Pick something and work hard at making it profitable.
